Christmas Cathedral Cleaning - Saturday, December 23

To prepare the Cathedral for the Nativity of our Lord, all those who would like to spend a couple of hours after the Saturday, December 23 Liturgy are welcome to lend a hand.

We will dust, vacuum, polish and replenish, in hopefully an organized manner so that within a few hours, our Cathedral will be made ready to celebrate the Birth of our Lord.

All cleaning supplies will be provided, but if you can offer your elbow grease, we will get the job done.

HOLY SUPPER UPDATE - December 18- URGENT ITEMS STILL LEFT

Dear All,

THANKS, to all who signed up to cook, serve, and clean up for the Holy Supper on Sunday.

There is still ONE major item to do....

We need 30# or 13 kilograms of FROZEN CHOPPED ONIONS for the Vareniki. FROZEN chopped onions are just perfect. Does Sams Club or Costco sell chopped onions in multi pound bags? If so, is there anyone or any people willing to buy the needed onions?

Please contact Mat. Kathy ASAP with your onion input.

St. Seraphim Membership Drive

For anyone who has not yet filled out and returned their St. Seraphim Membership form, we ask that you do so by the end of November. Plans are underway to schedule a couple of events, but we cannot do so until everyone has filled out the form. Thanks and we ask for your prayerful consideration in this very important area.

The purpose of the Membership Drive is two-fold: to help us ascertain how many people we are ministering to as a community and to help us better understand the talents and skills we possess as a Cathedral community. With a better understanding of these two critical areas, we will be able to better plan the future of the Cathedral and our mission to share the Gospel with all those who come to the Cathedral and those who we invite to "come and see" and experience the fullness of the Gospel in the Orthodox Church.

DOS WEBSITE RELAUNCHED

(Dallas, TX) The Diocese of the South relaunched its diocesan website on November 1. In its current format, the DOS website will provide diocesan news and other information useful to the clergy and faithful fo the DOS. Foundation Poured for the Memorial Chapel!

Tomb Walls Completed

The concrete walls for the tomb are now complete. The foundation contractor will now begin backfilling and compaction and forming for the grade level slab.

Breaking Ground!

This week we finally broke ground at the future site of the Archbishop Dmitri Memorial Chapel. In the coming weeks we hope to get the foundation poured.
